TransForm Automotive opens new facility in
Shelby Township, Michigan

In September 2016, Transform Automotive hosted an open house to celebrate the launch of their new facility in Shelby Township, MI. Customers, suppliers and local dignitaries were invited to tour the 150,000 square foot facility. Multiple stations highlighted TransForm processes and demonstrated the company’s growth history. TransForm’s parent company, Means Industries and sister company Burgess-Norton were also included. The facility manufactures assemblies for new 9 & 10 speed transmissions and will provide many career opportunities in Macomb County.

TransForm Automotive launches 8 and 9 speed
components and assemblies

Continuing the tradition of innovation and leading technology, TransForm Automotive has recently launched 10 components and assemblies used in advanced 8, 9 and 10 speed transmissions. These components are used in wet clutch, carrier, piston and hub functions. Three are laser welded assemblies and one has a mechanical press fit. Production begins May 2013.

TransForm Automotive acquires Materials
Forming Simulation Software

TransForm Automotive has recently purchased metal forming simulation software. This software pushes the limits of our manufacturing capabilities by allowing us to virtually test multiple tooling configurations, material types and thicknesses, in a relatively short amount of time. We will also better understand metal forming behavior, to assist our customers with design configurations that are stronger, lighter, and less expensive.
